In October 2010 we took our Subaru Impreza Type-20 demo on another rigorous testing and development session at the world famous Nordschleife circuit.
The car was fantastic all day despite the changeable weather conditions and we learnt a huge amount about the cars setup. You can read more about the trip on our website blog and watch the Type-20's impressive lap in our video section.
Our 2011 Spec C was recently featured on Channel 5's Fifth Gear tackling the Nurburgring. The story was about presenter Jonny Smith visiting the world famous Nordschleife circuit for the first time. The Spec C was his car of choice and Jonny loved our car's performance and secure handling around the notoriously difficult 13mile circuit. We have earned our reputation with Subaru, Honda and more recently Nissan. But we also have vast amount of experience of supercars from Koenigsegg and Ferrari to Bugatti and Corvette. Many of our Japanese performance car customers also have some very special supercars tucked away which they regularly ask us to look after.
The 2011 Subaru Impreza STi Spec C has thrilled and delighted all who have driven it and has racked up a pretty impressive number of media reviews. It has appeared in Evo magazine twice in two forms, firstly as our Spec C Sport where it received five stars. It's second appearance as our Spec C based Type 20, saw the car reviewed against a Ferrari Enzo and still it received five stars. It has also been seen in Auto Express, Japanese Performance and Fifth Gear.
We were really pleased with the way our LM700 GT-R performed, a view that was shared by Evo Magazine who declared it their "Tuned Car Of The Year 2010". What impressed them most was how we had retained its OE feel whilst packing a mighty 700bhp. The project was commissioned by long term Litchfield customer and Lotus Renualt F1 boss, Gerard Lopez who was delighted with the car.
We had the first GT-R in the country when our Black car arrived in January 2008 so when it came to the enhanced 2011 version we thought it only right for us to get the first one again. We picked the car up on the 2nd February and immediately disassembled the car to fully understand the changes that had been made. We were pleased to find that almost all of our upgrade parts would fit perfectly. Our 2011 car is now acting as a development tool for our next round of upgrades and available for prospective customers to come and test drive.
