We received our development Focus RS in April 2016 and were pleased to be asked by Cobb to help with their Beta testing. We have worked with Cobb Tuning for many years as they have been our main supplier of Porsche and BMW calibration tools.
The Cobb Accessport V3 and ProTuner software is extremely powerful and comprehensive and will form the bases for all our RS upgrades.
All the Cobb Accessport V3's come pre-loaded with Off The Shelf (OTS) maps from Cobb, which offer a conservative first upgrade based on the US fuel octane rating. However, we've been working on our own Stage 1 tunes for some time now and all the RS Accessports we supply will come with our own calibrations pre-loaded.
Litchfield Stage 1 ECU Calibration // 365 bhp & 375 lbft
Our Stage 1 ECU recalibration gives a peak power increase from 350PS (345bhp) to 370PS (365bhp) with torque increasing from 350blft (474Nm) to 375lbft (508Nm).
There's an additional 33 bhp over standard at 5,400rpm and torque increases where you need it most, with 47lbft @ 2,000rpm increasing to 51lbft @ 2,900 rpm, giving a much quicker response.
Our maps have been honed on our very own Focus RS with over 4,000 miles of both road and track testing across Europe to ensure the very best setup.
As our understanding of the RS’s engine and ECU improves over time, we will continue to refine and enhance the Stage 1 tune further. Any future Stage 1 ECU improvements will be a free update to existing customers for 12months.
The Cobb Accessport V3 provides quick and easy access to the ECU as well as reflashing of the ECU back to standard, should the car require an update from the Ford Dealer. It also provides remote assistance and updates from Litchfield’s technical team
