The previous Integra's 1.8 litre engine gets replaced by a 2.0 litre i-VTEC unit, Pumping out 220 bhp @ 8000rpm and 206Nm of torque at 7000rpm, slashing its quarter mile time to just 14.3 seconds.

The increase in power is matched by a newly developed 6-speed manual gearbox offers superb feel and short shift change, while chassis rigidity and suspension settings come in for huge improvements.

In order to control this amazing performance Honda has fitted an updated version of the helical LSD and huge 300mm 4-pot Brembo brakes with fade resistant Ferodo pads. To finish the package off the new Type R sits on larger 17-inch lightweight alloy wheels and low profile tyres.

Inside, the Type R features all the "R" trimmings with Recaro racing seats, Momo wheel and polished aluminium pedals/gearshift all helping to define it's racing pedigree.

All in all make a devastating performance package. The Integra Type R is faster and lighter, looks better, stops quicker and has better all-round performance than ever before.
