We are now able to offer tuning remaps for the hugely successful Mitsubishi Common Rail Diesel Engine which can be found in the L200, Shogun, Triton, and Pajero. All of our maps are created with the proven EcuTek software, which we have worked with for many years.
There are many plug-in (interference) boxes on the market which appear to be cheap solutions, but we would always recommend a remap instead. These interference boxes work by deceiving the ECU with false readings which lead to grossly inaccurate calculations and can even cause serious engine problems. Common issues with these solutions include clogged diesel particulate filters and a deterioration of the injector combustion cycles.
An EcuTek remap provides a safer alternative when tuning as it works with the vehicles engine management system by changing target values whilst still receiving genuine data from external sensors. This means that the engine can produce more power but still retain its control over failsafe mechanisms.
With the L200 we are able to increase the peak power to around 172bhp whilst raising the peak torque to around 306 ftlbs. Power Graph:
