Litchfield to attend Japfest show

We are will be attending the 2009 Japfest show at Castle Coombe Race circuit on the 16th of May. We will be sharing a stand with long standing partners Milltek Sport. On Display will be a R35 Nissan GTR fitted with our latest Y-Pipe exhaust upgrade along with our Type-20 demo car. Both Jenny and Iain will be around to answer any questions and we look forward to catching up with many of our customers.

New member joins the team

We are pleased to welcome Matthew Addis to the Litchfield team. Matt is an experienced, enthusiastic and highly trained technician that we are delighted to have on board. Coming from Mercedes-Brabus Matt will be able to offer our in-house and customer work the very best in workmanship and experience.

Matt spends much of his spare time at the race circuit having worked on a variety of race cars. Most recently he is working as the chief technician for a successful Ginetta G50 Cup team.

2008 Subaru Powerflex bushes

Powerflex are proud to announce that they have developed a full range of suspension bushes for one of the worlds most iconic modern performance cars.

Litchfield helped develop their latest range of low compliance polyurethane bushes for Subaru Impreza including WRX and STi models, chassis codes GH 10/07-on and GR 02/08-on. They have been working on a new range of Geometry Adjustable bushes to allow on-car adjustment of camber and caster on certain bushes as well as Anti Lift geometery where possible.

For the front of the Impreza the Front Arm Rear Bush PFF69-502G has revised ANTI-LIFT geometry and on-car CASTER adjustment allowing +/- 0.33 degrees of adjustment. The rear bushes PFR69-510G & PFR69-511G has been engineered to give on-car CAMBER adjustment with a range of +/-1.0 degree.

These parts are installed on the Litchfield Type-20 demonstrator and are available to order from us now. Prices start from £12.95 to £54.95.

New Subaru Fuel Injector

Having worked with a number of different fuel injectors from around the world Litchfield have decided to produce their own version. With the cost of importing parts from Japan significantly more expensive and some of the products received from the US be questionable. It was decided to produce a UK sourced alternative and adapting it to suit the Subaru Impreza manifolds.

These new injectors will:

Support for 380 - 500bhp applications
800cc Capacity vs the standard STI’s 550cc
Significantly improved fuel atomisation
Improved fuel consumption and power
Better location within the Subaru Inlet manifold over Japanese products
Cost effective, UK sourced componets and machining

Litchfield are currently testing the injectors on various 2.0 and 2.5 engine configurations with very encouraging results. No firm prices are available at the moment but they will be cheaper than any of the other options currently on the market.

Alcon Rear brake upgrade now developed

Late February saw us take our Type-20 demonstrator to the famous Brands Hatch circuit. We were invited by Track Masters (www.track-masters.co.uk) to join them on another of their superbly run track days. It was the ideal time to test our new Alcon rear brake kit on this demanding circuit.

The brakes were superb throughout the day and allowed the Type-20 to have astonishing stopping power lap after lap. The new rear setup also helped balance the car going into the corner and added to the cars stability under braking.

New brake kit is available to order now for all MY05-MY09 Subaru Impreza STI models.

GTR servicing and upgrades

We are pleased to offer serving and performance upgrades for the rare Nissan GTR. Litchfield have more experience with the GTR then any independent European specialist having imported the very first car back in January 2008. This history and our investment in the required tools and diagnostic equipment means we are able to look after the GTR to these high standards whilst maintaining the factory warranty.

GTR servicing and upgrades

We have a range of performance enhancements for this amazing car. Our Stage 1 kit for example costs just £799 Inc VAT fitted and lifts the engine output to around 530bhp. Our website will be updated next week with more information.

Motul and Mobil 1 Oil resellers

We are proud to be official retailers of Motul and Mobil 1 oil insuring our cars and those of our customers receive the very best lubricants for their performance vehicles.

Motul has long been used by Subaru in their endurance and WRC cars. It is also one of the leading oils in MotoGP, Japanese touring cars and F1.

The Mobil 1 brand is famous throughout the world and is the standard fill for leading manufactures like Porsche and Mercedes. Most recently it is the specified oil of the incredible Nissan GTR.
