2006 Type 25 Update

Where do we start, it's been a very busy period recently and one in which has seen the new MY06 Type 25 take some significant steps forward. We are in the final stages of testing and hope to have the first car finalized shortly.

September 17th saw the UK's inaugural Tuner GP event with Litchfield and POWERSTATION entering a MY06 Spec C and a version of the MY06 Type 25. Both cars did extremely well amongst the other big name entrants, setting the fastest lap time of any Japanese car, fastest Subaru lap time and winning the 2,000cc-3,000cc class outright with the Type 25. The class featured some mighty 930bhp Evos and 520bhp Audis. A full event review and video can be found on our website.

The event proved an important final proving ground for some of the new parts that will make it onto the next generation Type 25. The new 3" Milltek exhaust for example has shown it is capable of flowing well over 450bhp+ without excessive noise or restriction.

During the Tuner GP event suspension partners, AST, even flew over owner and chief designer Piet Kreeft to gauge both cars performance and get detailed driver feed back.

Subtle product changes and improvements on a range of parts has already begun following the invaluable information collected during the event.

At the moment we have a number of parts proving themselves on various MY05 & MY06 cars now, the race Type-25 is also under constant testing both on POWERSTATION's dyno, road and circuit. The first production MY06 Type-25 engine will complete it's running in process shortly with final turbo testing to be completed during October.

After a number of communications with Garrett's technical department, in both the US and UK, we have settled on 3 turbo designs that we are currently testing. All of them will reach our power targets but we want to know which will have the most response and driveability.

We have uploaded the latest Evo magazine review of the new Spec C in standard form to the press page of our website.

If you would like to arrange a test drive in our MY06 Spec C Type 20 and get a taste of how the new Type 25 will perform please feel free to call anytime. We also have a number of immaculate used MY05 Type-25 models on our stock list.

Kind Regards,

Iain Litchfield
