Since early 2008 we have been working on a range of performance upgrades for the latest Nissan GTR. We have upgraded a large number of cars with everything from a simple Y-pipe, all the way to 800bhp+ turbo conversions. Our tuning packages have received critical acclaim and our 700bhp conversion helped us win Tuner of the Year 2010 from Evo Magazine.
In February 2011 we bought an Enhanced 2011 Nissan GTR and were the first company in the world to offer tuning solutions for this new car.
Our Engine packages uses the latest ECUTEK RACE ROM software, which we helped to develop, to insure the very best in performance, economy and reliability.
Below is a number of key power upgrade stages designed to show the sort of changes required to reach different power levels. However we offer a bi-spoke service which we can tailor to your personal requirements. Please feel free to contact with any questions you have.
Our Stage 1 upgrade brings out the full benefit of the Y-pipe and incorporates a recalibration of the GTRs engine management system. This recalibration will release an extra 60-70bhp and transform the way the GTR performs without pushing the limits of Nissans original engine parameters.

Our Stage 2 upgrade features the Y-pipe and the rest of Milltek's performance exhaust system which replaces the restrictive standard rear silencer. To further improve the engines breathing the paper intake filters are replaced with free flowing K&N units. These filters not only aid performance but are also washable to insure consistent performance over time.
Combined with our unique ECU recalibration this upgrade lifts performance to an incredible 590bhp. The Stage 2 upgrade is our most popular upgrade after the initial Y-pipe.

Our Stage 3 upgrade uses our larger Performance Intake kit. This kit features our large capacity cone filters (as used by the latest British Touring Cars) which receive cold air from behind the front bumper. Smooth Mandel bent pipe work insures great air flow around the whole of the filter to allow the engine to brief as freely as possible. The intake kits also have a larger diameter CNC machined MAF housing. This allows for more ECU map resolution at higher power levels where the smaller OEM housing would not be able to continued detailed measurement.
Like the Stage 2 upgrade it also features the Milltek Y-pipe, exhaust system and a new ECU calibration for the larger intakes.
The Stage 3 Power upgrade includes:
The Stage 3 package costs £3,176 fitted inc. VAT
At power levels over 600bhp the standard fuel injectors will be at 100% duty so the stage 4 kit features our larger 1,100cc injectors to insure the engine receives the correct amount of fuel. These Bosch Motorsport based injectors have a superb spray pattern so fuel consumption and driveability are as good, if not better, than the standard OEM 570cc injectors. These are the same injectors we use in our 800bhp conversions.
Like the Stage 3 upgrade it also features the Milltek Y-pipe, exhaust system, large bore intake kit and a new ECU calibration for the larger injectors.
The Stage 4 Power upgrade includes:

Stage 5 is where things get really take off! This stage includes our new improved Billet turbo design. The most popular option was to run the hybrid VF34 IHI ball bearing core (standard fit on a Subaru) with our larger billet compressor wheel. However midway through 2011, and after testing various options on our own car, we have switched to the more advanced Garrett ball bearing cores for all our turbo conversions. These have produced incredible results with a significant improvement in both response and power.
We have been using these cores in all our Subaru Turbo conversions for many years and first used the Garrett cores on our Evo Tuned Car Of The Year build back in 2010. These are available in a number of different variations which we can discuss with each customer to make sure we get the ideal match.
Along with the larger turbos we recommend switching to an improved intercooler design from Forge Motorsport. Testing has shown that higher power levels the standard intercoolers can become overwhelmed. After considerable trials, we found that the most efficient design for the GTR was a core of tube and fin design, and along with an overall increase in dimensions we have been able to improve the cooling ability and reduce the pressure loss across when compared to stock intercoolers.

We are pleased to release the Gearbox software update for all 2008 - 2010 Nissan GTRs which will bring the Gearbox software calibration up to date with the latest 2012 model. This change will significantly improve the gearbox operation and transform the way the car drives. When combined with our Engine Ecu upgrades is gives the car Driver Control Adjustable Launch Control for the perfect get away.

Key to our performance upgrades is our close work with Engine management specialists and long term partners, ECUTEK.
In early 2008 Litchfield provided ECUTEK with a GTR for their ECU development work. Detailed testing has been continuous with the car on a variety of dynos including ECUTEK's state of the art R&D facility, road and circuit testing including the famous Nurburgring. ECUTEK are the world leaders in ECU program with solutions provided to the aftermarket and manufactures including Mitsubishi, Subaru UK and Prodrive to name just a few.
They have been able to provide Litchfield with their advanced software (including unique BETA versions) which has enabled us tune the GTR's ECU to provide fantastic improvements in performance.
